Hampton Court Flower Show - part 3

I think I'll try and cram the rest of what I want to share, in this one or you'll get bored!
Turkish Garden of Paradise - loved this one too...

cool blue water, pink/red/white planting

and huge lilies growing in the beds.
"Encore; a Music Lover's Garden"

back into the Rose Marquee for another quick look... still stiflingly hot!

across one of the pontoons across the Long Water, to the gardens and marquees on the other side...this part of the show is called "Grow"

looking to your left across the pontoon, the Palace in the background
scarecrow boating across...
the main Floral Marquee is the other side of the Long Water these days.. this is allium is called "Bizarre" - very aptly named!

this one had a very apt name too, and I've forgotten it...

Eremurus (bottle brush) I love these in huge groups
and because the alliums and eremurus look as if they're exploding into the sky, the plant names on this stand were written on labels looking like rockets!

Crocosmia

Astrantia

amazing lilies
Eryngium - lots of this variety throughout the marquee, called Neptune's Gold
Agapanthus (love these!)

wicker elephants..
Dahlia

more lilies

Happy Birthday, Hampton Court Flower Show, 25 this year as I said. (many, many photos ago, lol!)
Amnesty International's "Magna Carta" garden, celebrating 800 years since it was signed. more blue and yellow.
Stunning, this one..
loved the water.
the screens at the back have the words of the Magna Carta written on them.  wish I'd taken a close up of them now!

Winnie the Pooh by AA Milne is also celebrating this year, it was written 90 years ago. This garden represents where AA Milne was inspired by his son Christopher Robin playing with his toys and the story was born,
written in a little retreat in the garden..
and you can see Pooh on the bridge, playing Pooh Sticks..
onto Village Street now, a series of small planted areas, love these poppies
amazing alliums, this was a Dutch company
and I stopped to listen to some singing at the Bandstand, these girls were fantastic! They're called the Tootsie Rollers and they had a kind of "swing" style but to modern songs. Really enjoyed standing (all the chairs had gone) for a few minutes.
check them out on Facebook..
more lilies

Community Street - based on a real street in Bristol, the designers are encouraging householders to not pave over their front gardens... the results were amazing!

loved the big blocks of yellow

wow, we've finished... just time to stroll back to the station for my train home (back in time to watch Andy Murray win his next match)

but despite having walked the show for 6 hours, I still walked rather than wait for the boat!
hope you're still with me, wish you could see ALL the photos, there's loads more!
same time, next year??

Before I comment, I have a couple of questions. Do the entrants haul in their own water? I know they add their own flowers, dirt, other landscaping minutia, and "furniture," but is the water supplied if they need it? Do you have any idea how long it takes them to set up these gardens? Do they tear them down right after the show, or do they leave them for a certain length of time?

Now for comments. I love the Community Street entry. I wish my front garden looked even 1/4 that good. The Magna Carta garden was glorious, and I was entranced by the bubbles and swirls they got in the water.

Seems there are LOTS of things celebrating anniversaries this year, including Poo. What a fun garden that was to see.

The wicker elephants were a hoot, as was the scarecrow crossing the water. I loved the bottle brush, because I got used to it when I was working in California. Of course, the Turkish Garden was stunning, simply stunning.

And of course, a happy birthday to Hampton Court with their glorious birthday cake. Thanks to you, too for taking me with you on this beautiful journey.
