I am having a nightmare transferring photos to my computer recently but made it!
A beautiful sunny morning at Kew follows - enjoy!
the sky was gloriously blueand the fountain was on
the tubs have been re-planted too
the alliums by the Palm house are already finished but will go to seed and be gorgeous for ages
I walked round by the pond
southern marsh orchid
walking round towards the evolution garden
peonies in the sun
the "gardener" statue has been given flower to go with his thistle
the scent on the roses in the EG beds was lovely
the pergola looking fabulous
at the end of the EG the wild flower bed is coming into flower - stunning
as I went through into the rock garden I found a new information board - photo'd it mainly for Elizabeth as she loves the rock garden
even before they open in full sun the californian poppies look great
on the Broad Walk now
this is a salvia I think
the alliums at the further end are still in great condition- they're a later variety

sum big tubs outside the back of the Waterlily house,
I think these plants have been moved from the Temperate House or even the Palm House
blogger is being a pain, sorry. don't have time to faff about
then the Meditteranean garden
and another look at the Breach - love those mirrors
from a distance, heading for the lake
Indian sweet chestnut, smothered in flowers
such pretty flowers
King William's temple
loved the shadows.
sun through the huge acer that goes such gorgeous colours in autumn, outside the gallery
crossing the grass with Matt and Helen in the distance, towards the gallery
Kym was waiting for the gallery to open at 10 too

we wanted to see "where flowers dream" by Pip and Pop (Tanya Schultz) part of the Food Forever event
we had to put shoe protectors on...
and went in to the exhibition..."chandeliers" in sugar sweet pastels
through the doorway....
the walls of the gallery have been covered
in pastel flowery images
not sure if you can read
then into the main gallery
this is the link to the Kew website that gives bit more info (running late, can't write it out)
looked like a pastel pink version of Willy Wonka's factory

hibiscus round the outside of the pond
lotus flower
foxglvoes and cistus in the med garden
my fave silver daisy bush, of course

back on the ground
growing through the roof! (Echium Pinanina)
from the side - you can't walk down this path it's for Kew gardeners only
the tubs of daisies
bird of paradise - most starting to fade now
view down the outside wall, love the carvings
the huge japanese dogwood
all those goslings are now back in smaller family groups
tulip tree
heading round to the Princess of Wales so I don't miss that out
top of the rock garden

Fabulous photos as always Helen! The tulip tree flower is stunning, I love that colour combo, and the exhibition looks fascinating, I shall pop over and read all about it - thank you for the link. I hope you enjoyed the wedding reception.

That looks like a fabuolous visit to Kew, it looks like you managed blue skies, we've had it rather changeable over the weekend despite it promising sun shine it has been somewhat mixed.
I love love love the new exhibition and completely agree that it is a like a pink Willy Wonkas, as you know I love anything like this so envious of your visit to it.
The two trolls are looking fabulous and the flowers are beautiful too, definitely heading into the summer colours of the garden now.
Hope you've had a wonderful weekend, have a great week.
Hugs
You know I'm late and you know why. I won't dwell.
Right off the bat, I have a question. What are the pom-pom looking flowers everywhere in the first photo? I don't remember them from before and they are so distinctive, I am sure I would have noticed.
Loved seeing the urns in full bloom, too. Guess I should have read on. Are the pom-poms alliums?
Beautiful peonies. Charming roses. And I LOVE what looks like poppies.
I enjoyed reading about the Rock Garden. No wonder I like it so much. I want an alpine type garden in my front yard. What a great vintage photo, too.
If they need a home for those ferns, I will gladly volunteer to take thm off their hands.
I hate to tell you, you don't look anything like Matt's Helen. You look much better in and around those mirrors. I love the last one of you because you actually look like you were smiling.
Yes, I was able to read the legend in the gallery. Beautiful works and sugary colors. One nice thing is you have until March of 2023 to get your sugar candy fill of this exhibition.
It's amazing how some weeks you can get to the top of the Temperate House and some weeks it is roped off.
That's still quite a litter of goslings. Soon they will rule the earth.
Loved seeing the flowers in the Rock garden and the Alpine House. Hope ypi enjoyed the reception.
stunning photos (I SO need to get back to Kew its been far too long, if I recall there is also a student/allotment area that the public can go to). LOVE the gardener statue and that he has flowers added to his fist, brilliant.
Oh I bet those ants are LOVING the sugar display at the moment too!! lol!

Amazing as always... I adore Matt and Helen - they have such life and character, and they are beautifully positioned to relate to one another. The Japanese dogwood is glorious, and the goslings adorable.
