Kew was cold today but sunny. there was also a fun run so lots of people by the time we got in
photobombed!
we had to go round by the side of the Palm House due to barriers
the Yoshino cherries are still looking good although some are going over already
taking the path off the rose garden through more cherry/plum trees
the pink trees on the crossroads where they are playing the live music later are out this week
the trees spread
heading towards the lake, more trees in the distance.
dodging runners still
at the lake. the water level was very high
the sun came and went
reaction time for the geese flying is poor!!
carried along the lake
towards the woodland
the wild garlic is starting to flower and smells gorgeous.
no sign of Goldie but plenty of blue tits and great tits
and a robin too
pile of logs in the sun
great light on the giant trees
thev've laid a new path in front of the bench, which has been there a year already!
this pink tree is one of the more glorious in full flower - which it will be soon
it's the one that I can hair-match quite well too (when I don't have to keep my hat on!)
tea and cake time
into the Davies exploration house
favbourites!
back across the lake
heading towards magnolia glade
through the blossom
the snakes head fritilliaries are coming out but the main drift are behind ropes to avoid being trampled so you can't get close ups.
at the end under a tree are a few that have spread so you can!
then we headed the path in front of Kew Palace to see the Glory of the Snow
it's looking a bit sparse, not sure if there is more to come, or it's fading!
at this point I wasn't feeling well so had to leave to come home
thanks for looking, see you next week, hopefully for a more normal trip (I am fine, by the way)
