Today marked the start of the Kew Easter kids event (Supertato, not that he's come across my radar before) but members can get in at 9am until 21 April... yay!
It was really fresh first thing but eventually warmed up to a glorious day. lots of photos - yes, more blossom. sit back and enjoy.

the beds are beautiful
as are the urns
round bed at top of the Broad Walk
then we walked part way down the Broad Walk
daffodils in the sun
euphorbia
round to the Hive
outside the back of the POW
we were surprised to find it open
upper path for the pasqueflowers
down on the path for these again
some going to seed already
the acer in the corner of the rock garden starting to leaf up
apple blossom (i think) climbing up the wall of the veg garden
magnolia
as we walked along the path through the evolution garden we spotted this beauty to the side
it was being wafted about in the wind
at the far end of the evolution garden the peony bed is showing signs of life, and there was one early variety starting to flower
at the bottom of the hill
this is a huge shrub - osmanthus
so pretty with the Palm House in the background
then it was time to go into the POW
back down on the lower level
orchids (behind glass)
fern growing
outside, we headed back to the entrance for the cafe
the fountain was on for the first time since Christmas
the blossom on the weeping tree is fading a bit already, it's never a long lasting one the yoshino cherry trees are already fading round the rose garden
but this huge white tree is fabulous
gorgeous blue sky backdrop
the Meditteranean garden is a little higher than the Temperate House and Cherry Walk so you get a great view of the trees - the blossom has really opened out since last week
and loads more tulips too!
you go down some steps onto the path
it was time to get down low again
back down low again
there were some open close enough to the ropes for macros
blogger is now messing the order

Pagoda in the distance
this was such a gorgeous lemon yellow colour
we headed towards the woodland and the no longer there bird feeders but there wasn't much about today ( I got some blurry blue tits feeding from Kim's hand....)
woodland
dafodils near the lake
the grass at the far end of the gardens near the lake, close to the river, already covered in daisies -
the geese love them
we walked round the lake towards the crossing point
but saw a goose in a nest up a tree
and a young monkey puzzle tree
a more mature one on the other side of the path

past a group of trees
and some daffodils in the grass under
as we neared the palm house we noticed that the waterlily house was open after winter
they change the set up each year, this year the pond has some big tubs in it as well as waterlilies
tucked in the corner of the hedge round the palm house and at various intervals are some miniature daffodils
we walked along the path closest to the palm house on our way back to the exit,

they'll take a while to re-establish so watch this space!
it seems different from this side, for some reason even though obviously it isn't
view across the pond, from path level!
such bright beds this spring!
it was busy once again now it had warmed up
tubs by the exit
and then time to leave.
thanks as ever for looking, see you next week for another 9am start

LOVE the tulips. They truly say spring has arrived. So do magnolia blossoms and daffodils. I was in awe of the spring flowers blooming at Kew. And you have captured them perfectly.
