We had time for Lin to show me around too... Friday morning we went in the sunshine, to Poole Quay...
it was chilly, but beautifully sunny as you can see...
there are gorgeous buildings everywhere...
we went in here for coffee later...
some luxury yachts being fitted out..
we'll have one each please!
love this old roof!
statue of Baden Powell on the Quayside..
luxury flats overlooking the harbour...
we had a lovely coffee and then I bumped my head on the beam both when sitting down and getting up again....
on our way back to the carpark we nipped down narrow alleyways
love this tall old building...
and round the corner, this tall modern one!
when driving home, we past John Lewis with this propeller/daffodil sculpture (forgive the reflections from the car windscreen!)
so that was before the first workshop...
We were lucky too on Saturday after the second workshop, although not quite as gloriously blue sky... we took a trip to the beach at Sandbanks....
although the best of the sun was in the morning, and it was now quite cloudy, the sight was breathtaking - I have missed the seaside!
amazingly there were one or two hardy kids insisting on paddling!
there were some fabulous clouds..
and beach-side properties
had to do some shadow pics for Julia!
it was fabulous to walk along a sandy beach (the beach I know best where mum and dad lived, at Pagham was stony in the extreme...this was lovely!)
then we crossed the road to the harbour where the clouds were casting shadows in the shallow water on the sand....
love this one
We sat on a bench..
and I sat on a wall... there was another ledge a couple of feet down so I was in no danger!
then it was Lin's turn...
heading back to the car and home - we were both pretty tired now after our great day
but I had to stop to take this tree with the sun behind it
last couple on the way home along the coast road

Some wonderful photos Helen. Might have to pinch some to paint! So glad that you and Lin had a great weekend! Xx
I am so glad the weather was kind (dry) so you could get out and about as well as doing the workshops. Some fabulous photographs and memories too. Even though we all know I don't like sand one iota I do wish I could have been there and Emma too.
Hugs
Lesley Xx
I am in awe of your photos of the beach and the Quay. The beautiful high rise apartments might make me change my mind about owning a single family home if I could afford one of those (grin). You and Lin shared a lot of fun in this area and I loved each of your photos. GREAT job.
Wow, gorgeous photos!
Wow you got some fabulous weather on your weekend away - I love love love blue skies!
